   The Maple Festival and the Travers Festival

     Join us for the 4th Annual 2008

  Maple Festival

the last Saturday of April.  Experience the art of making maple syrup from the boiling of the sap to pure maple syrup and other activities.

 

                      April 26, 2008

                     8 a.m. — 4 p.m.

Come and Enjoy:

 

¨ A tasty French toast breakfast with pure maple syrup and Oscar’s Smokehouse breakfast sausages

¨ Dust-Off Car Show with DJ and prizes and raffles 

¨ Chicken and Ribs Barbeque

¨ Fire Fighter demonstrations

¨ Dog Show with awards for the master/dog look alike contest, for the dog who does the most tricks, and the “Celebrity” dog look alike.

¨ Kid’s activities

¨ Storytellers—Steve Guenther, Forest Ranger; Joseph Parker, Artist and cook book author; Cynthia Hedger, Librarian and others will be at Saratoga Rose Inn and Restaurant.

¨ Displays of Crafters, Civic groups, Organizations and Churches

¨ Wagon rides

¨ On site Artists painting at the Historic Bow Bridge gazebo

¨ Hobby Train display

  Travers Festival is the oldest horse racing event in the US.  We celebrate the Travers Festival on the third Saturday of August with a Run, Pedal, Tube Triathlon and a Two-Town-Wide Garage Sale.
