The Maple Festival and the Run-Pedal-Tube Triathlon |

Join us for the 5th Annual 2009 Maple Festival the last Saturday of April. Experience the art of making maple syrup from the boiling of the sap to pure maple syrup and other activities.
April 25, 2009 8 a.m. — 4 p.m. |

¨ A tasty French toast breakfast with pure maple syrup and Oscar’s Smokehouse breakfast sausages ¨ Lil’ Sugar Dust-Off Auto Show with DJ and prizes and raffles ¨ Maple Festival Pictorial Postmark cancellation ¨ Chicken and ribs barbecue, maple cotton candy, food vendors ¨ Fire Fighter demonstrations ¨ Kid’s activities—puppets, bounce-around, face painting ¨ Storytellers and music at Saratoga Rose Inn and Restaurant. ¨ Displays of Crafts, Civic groups, Organizations and Churches ¨ Wagon rides ¨ Artists ¨ Hobby Train display ¨ Ham Dinner (4—7PM) at the Luzerne-Hadley Fire House |

5K foot race * 8 mile bicycle ride * tube across the Hudson River
This race is a team effort or an individual may do all three events. |

Starts at 9 a.m. with a 5K foot race from the corner of Woodward and Maple Streets, and back; bike for 7.5 miles across Stewart’s Dam and finish by paddling an inner tube across the Hudson River from Lake Luzerne to the Hadley Canoe Take-out. Participants are responsible for their own equipment: bike, helmet, tube and life vest.
Race fee is $20 individuals or $35 Teams. Teams may be comprised of all men, all women, mixed, family or company groups. Awards will be made to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams in each category. |

Directions
Exit 21 of I-87-take 9N south 11 miles to Lake Luzerne. Take right on to Mill St, which turns into Main St, take right onto Bridge St over Rockwell Falls into Hadley. Then right onto Woodward Ave to Canoe take-out. From Corinth-9N north to Lake Luzerne. Take left at golf course onto Old Corinth Rd go across Bow Bridge. At stop sign, take right, then left onto Woodward Ave to Canoe take-out. |
